Writing Prompt: Can honesty honestly be bad? Write about someone, fact or fiction, who gets in trouble for being too truthful.

Carrie and her friends were sitting outside of Principal Edward's office, waiting anxiously for him to come out and call each of them in to ask them what happened. Minutes passed and passed, until Leslie said "Come on! This is the most ridiculous thing I ever have been involved in. I want to go back to class." Carrie sat there silently thinking about what to say. Her parents always taught her not to lie, so after deciding to tell the truth, she heard it. The principals footsteps echoing in the hall.

"Alright, Carrie please come with me. You girls don't go anywhere." said Principal Edward, as he opened the door to invite Carrie in. "Now, young lady, what happened?"

Carrie took a deep breath and hoped for a lenient punishment as she began to tell her story. "A couple days ago, the girls and I snuck into our teachers room while we supposed to be at recess and I thought we were getting our coats, but no they went into her desk stole her key to the locked drawer. They unlocked it, took out mid-exams answer sheets and said to me don't tell anyone. That's my story."

Principal Edward sat still for a minute and then said "Well, thank you. You are going to get in trouble so be prepared, but since you told the truth I'll reduce your punishment. Carrie left the room feeling much better, she then decided to stop hanging out with her friends because they were a bad influence.

Writing Prompt:What road-trip would you take if you suddenly could? Write about it. pt1

If I could go on a road-trip, it would most definitely be in the winter or fall. I would first go to Rhode Island to one, see my family and two look at antique shops, and hike up Wilbur Hill  Then I would go to New York City to see the Statue of Liberty and go to the Empire State building. After that, I would to Rockefeller Center to try to learn how to ice skate. That is my road-trip, nothing fancy or big, just a simple road trip..

As Nia and her mom pulled into their cobblestone driveway Nia's mom said "Alright honey, close your eyes, once we get out of the car. Ok?"  "Ok," Nia replied, excited. Thump, thump the floorboards creaked as they walked up the stairs to their house. "Don't move," said her mom as she gingerly opened the door. "Umm... ok?" Nia said confused. "One...Two...Three! Happy 10th Birthday, Nia!!" shouted everyone as Nia's mom uncovered her eyes.

There sitting on the table was a guitar with a galaxy themed pick, a dozen red balloons and there was a baby tabby kitten sitting in a wicker basket. The kitten had a pink ribbon tied around its neck. Meow,  meow, the kitten purred. "Ohh, thank you everybody. You are going to be called Tina the Tabby." Nia said with excitement, as she picked up Tina and put her in her lap.

Dear readers,

After much thought, I've made the decision to change my blog. So instead of it being just book reviews, I have come up with an idea of choosing a prompt, and writing a descriptive paragraph or two about it, everyday or one every two days.  That doesn't mean that I won't recommend a good book every once in awhile. I'm very excited to share with you my thoughts and ideas. I will be using writing prompts from
